iPhone Apps for Fun

It should come as no surprise to anyone that when Apple recently announced its most popular iPhone Apps , most of them were mobile games. And even though many users consider them a waste of time, millions love playing games on their iPhones.

Why, exactly? That’s a much more difficult question to answer. Perhaps it’s because it gives them something to do while they ride to work in morning or take the lift to the top floor. Or perhaps it’s because we’re all truly young at heart and have never grown out of our childhood addiction to video games.

In the rest of this article, we are going to take a look at some of the most popular games for the Apple iPhone.

Scrabble

For the resident cruciverbalist, this old-time favourite will provide hundreds of hours of competition as you challenge up to three players. The only difference between this application and the real game is that it has a "Best Word" feature that provides you with the best possible word you can create from your current tiles. Of course the more experience players will avoid this feature or recommend it as a handicapping device for weaker challengers.

Ante Up

As you might have guessed from the game title, Ante Up is a card game. In fact, it is advertised as the most realistic Texas Hold 'EM (Poker) game ever made. Whether or not that bold claim is true warrants further investigation, but we do know that you can challenge virtual opponents or up to eight of your friends over a Wi-Fi network.
